Happy Halloween!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend + Halloween parties! A special shout out to those that celebrated Diwali as well! (Check out this awesome video from President Obama! A Presidential First: Happy Diwali).

Have a wonderful Halloween and be safe, and have fun.
  • Make sure costumes aren't too long, so you won't trip when walking
  • Always stay on the sidewalks in well lit places
  • Stay in groups with adult supervision

Mangia, Mangia!

Yes, I have been posting a lot more recently because I've been coming across some cool things! This post is called "Mangia, Mangia!" which means "Eat, Eat!" in Italian. I love Italian food, and studied the language for a few months, where one day I hope to visit and experience the amazing culture of Italy.

I was watching Eat St. (on Food Network Canada), and saw this awesome food truck in San Diego (lucky!) called the Mangia Mangia Mobile. They are awesome, funny, and the food looks delicious. Check out the episode here. You can also make your own super easy and delicious Pomodoro Fresco Sourdough Bruschetta from Guy Fieri (shown above)!

Here is a lovely tutorial to make your own faux spaghetti and meatballs dish from the awesome polymer clay work artist GentlemenBunny. Let me know how your cooking adventures, real or fake, turn out. Have fun dolls! xoxo

Spooky Sale

Hi dolls! I have been featured in the lovely LaPapierre's blog for Halloween Stationery - check it out for super cute and unique paper goods. Love her Butterfly Fairy Letter Set shown here.
Spooky Sale for Hallowe'en items in Glamazon Zero Eight for 25% off! The sale starts tomorrow at October 13, 2011 12:00am until October 31, 2011 12:00am.
Hope you all are working hard on your costumes and getting your party plans together! I am going to be making caramel apples and some other Hallowe'en decor. I made these delicious Berry Vanilla Cake Pops and Apple Tartlets - I plan on making some more different flavors for the Made by Hand Show. They were so yummy (and all gone)!

Also, getting my swag bag goodies ready for the show - I made 105 custom magnets (koalas, mice, onigiris, mushrooms/toadstools, gumdrops, chocolate cats, bear, and pandas), and they will be packaged with my business cards, some colorful gum, and topped off with a cute label. That's all for now - new recipes and completed promo photos up soon! xoxo

Swaps, Swaps, and More Swaps!

Hi dolls! I hope you are all enjoying the crisp fall weather and getting ready for autumn celebrations (i.e. Thanksgiving, Hallowe'een, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday). Love the changing of the fall leaves and new color inspirations. I have updated my blog - it needed a change! Hope you all like the new colors, lay-out, and simplicity, plus it makes things a lot easier to navigate through.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."  ~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy

A special shout-out to the Rachel from www.swap-bot.com! Congratulations on Swap-bot's 100,000th swap - that is an awesome accomplishment! Come join this swap now - 520 swappers have joined so far (sign-up deadline is October 17, 2011).

Also, I joined another great blog "swap" called Share your Crafty Blog hosted by angeliclizard: Post a link to your blog below. Second, go to your partners blogs, watch their blog, and leave a comment. Easy as (pumpkin) pie! I want to share two super kawaii swaps with you too! I just got into making FBs (Friendship Books), and these are the ones I made for myself and my partners (on the left).

You can check out the swap details here: Starter FB Swap - Newbies Welcome (top)! I hosted a swap back in September called the 4 Kawaii Inchies Swap and these are the adorable back to school theme inchies my swap partner joonberry sent me (yellow + blue). Aren't they super cute, and the bright colors are so cheery (love her username too!). That's all for now dolls! xoxo
